Best Pitcher Filter
I tried it against the Clearly Filtered and the Waterdrop Chubby pitcher filters but I like the Epic Pure best.
Pros:
1) The water it produces tastes great, like pure spring water. Clearly Filtered tastes more like distilled water.
2) It has a 90 day counter. Clearly Filtered doesn’t.
3) It filters nitrates. The Waterdrop Chubby doesn’t.
4) It’s a little smaller than those two pitchers, which is a good thing. It’s easier to lift and pour with one hand. It takes up less room in the fridge and it fits between the top shelf and the top of a French Door fridge more easily.
5) The pitcher and replacement filters are less expensive than the Clearly Filtered.
6) Priming the filter is easy. Just filter a couple of batches and you’re ready to go by the third batch. The Clearly Filtered requires connecting a device to squeeze water through it a couple of times. I squeezed too hard and broke that device.
Cons:
1) Took over two weeks to be delivered, but it was worth the wait. Also, the postal service put the box through the wringer but the pitcher and filters were all still in great shape.
2) It filters more slowly than the Waterdrop Chubby, like the Clearly Filtered. That’s the trade off for better filtration though, and there’s enough capacity that you don’t have to wait.
