Filter Technology
Inside
CoreXchange™.
Our patented dual-stage, dual-layer filtration system. Designed and built in the USA by engineers with 30+ years in water filtration.
Most filters are a single block of carbon. CoreXchange pairs two engineered layers working in sequence: an electro-adsorptive nano fiber wrap that captures what carbon alone cannot, and a solid activated carbon fiber core that polishes every drop.
Two layers.
One serious filter.
Nano fiber wrap
The external layer captures sub-micron particles using electro-adsorptive technology. The crystalline structure of the mineral fibers carries a strong natural positive charge that actively attracts and binds negatively charged contaminants, including microplastics, pathogens, trace pharmaceuticals, and cellular debris, stopping impurities before they ever reach the core.
Activated carbon fiber core
At the heart of CoreXchange lies a solid activated carbon fiber block. Water is forced through a tortuous path of thousands of microscopic layers, maximizing contact time and kinetic adsorption of chemicals, volatile organic compounds, heavy metals, and chlorine, while keeping flow smooth and consistent.
Engineered like it matters.
Designed here.
Built here.
Most of the industry imports filters and puts a flag on the box. Epic builds. Our filters are designed, tested, and manufactured in our own American facility by engineers with 30+ years in water filtration. Owning the factory means owning the outcome: every layer, every seal, and every lab result is ours to control.

Swap the core.
Every CoreXchange design features a replaceable inner filter cartridge. The durable outer casing stays, only the core gets replaced, cutting single-use plastic waste by up to 75% and making refills cheaper too.
Asked, answered.
Why are XP Filters rated at 100 gallons when the classic Pure was rated at 150?
Our XP Filters are NSF tested to double the rated capacity (200 gallons) for compliance. They also carry a higher quality and volume of filtration media, so despite the conservative rating, they last the same expected 3 to 4 months.
What exactly is in each layer of an XP filter?
Activated carbon fiber (Pure XP): depth filtration with roughly 1,000,000 square feet of surface area, the equivalent of 17 football fields. It works like a giant sponge, adsorbing chemical contaminants as water passes through.
Nano fiber media (Pure & Nano XP): surface filtration with an electropositive charge across a pleated media over a foot long. It instantly traps negatively charged contaminants like bacteria, cysts, and sediment on contact.
Can I use these filters with saltwater?
No. Epic filters are designed for freshwater sources only and are not suitable for use with saltwater.
