TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The Pure Pitcher comes with one (1) Pure Filter, lasting around 3–4 months depending on daily use and water quality. Heavily contaminated water may reduce filter lifespan. For full usage instructions, visit this page.
Our filters are designed to work slowly and intentionally—not a flaw, but a science-backed feature. The solid blend of proprietary media maximizes contact time (from 20 minutes to 1–2 hours), boosting purification for every drop you drink.
To maintain peak performance, keep your filter saturated. This prevents drying and ensures long-term effectiveness—much like letting fine wine breathe to reach its full potential.
The bottom reservoir holds about half a gallon of filtered water. With a 150-gallon filter capacity, lifespan depends on how often you refill!

I love these filters and everything about them except 1 thing... Any time I lift the piece with the filter attached to it (which I clearly have to do any/every time I need to clean the container), the filter stops/slows to a tiny trickle. It doesn't matter where in the cycle the filter is, or even if I tilt the filter/piece or not, it somehow just stops working like it was just moments before. I even tried a rep's suggestion to soak it before putting it back, but nothing changes. I do not get it at all & that part is quite frustrating. I usually just end up putting a new filter in at that point, so we have water again. But then that makes me change the filter more often & increases the costs with it. I can't do it any less, as the container needs to be cleaned often enough or green grossness grows in there. I wish there was a better solution for this.

As you can see I have two Epic Water pitchers and I count on them for drinking, cooking water, water for brushing teeth, and I even use them to fill the water dishes for the birds and squirrels outside. I originally bought one pitcher to remove heavy metals from our tap water and after using it for approximately one and a half to two months realized I felt normal after many years of anxiety and low spirits. After six months of intense research into iron and its affect on humans, I came across information on the 2024 EPA website that our community's water supply was high in PFOS (one of the forever chemicals) as well as PFOA (not as high though). I verified it with the head of the water utility's lab and he also verified a new treatment plant was to be completed by 2029. Since then the utility has been using granular charcoal to reduce the levels of the forever chemicals as announced in a recent notice mailed to residents of Orange Cty in NC. I am thankful for the utility working toward better water for the community and super grateful to Epic Water for the filter pitchers I will keep on using. I've spread the word about the filter pitchers whenever I have the chance and hope sales have gone up in the Chapel Hill, NC area. Thank you so much!

I live alone and have the tabletop water filter. There is a true flavor difference in my water from the tap water to the filtered water! Super simple to use, the filters are very easy to replace, I get about 4 months of use before I change out the filter as I’m only a house of 1. I’ve become increasingly concerned about our water supply and don’t use plastic bottles anymore due to the nanoplastics shedding off. Knowing I am doing what I can to give myself a cleaner water supply is comforting. I feel the water supply will just be getting more and more contaminated! I will be using my filter for years to come!

How long does the Pure filter last, and how will I know when to replace it?
The pure filter is tested for up to 100+ gallons of water. You can expect to get 2-4 months of use with the filter depending on your water quality and how often it is used. Additionally, we have designed our filters to slow down or completely stop allowing water to come through when it is time for it to be replaced.
My filter is going slow should i be worried?
It depends. Our filters are designed to filter slower than other filters on the market as a longer contact time with filter media allows the filter to remove more contaminants. However, if your filter is exceeding 30 minutes shoot our support team an email and we can get you a new one sent out!
Does the Pure Pitcher remove fluoride and PFAS?
Yes! We specifically have designed the Pure filter to crush contaminants like fluoride, lead, pfas, chlorine, microplastics and more!
What is the Pure pitcher made from?
