Our New CoreXchange™ designs filter 70+ contaminants, have improved performance and flow, cheaper replacement cartridges, and less plastic waste! Sounds pretty EPIC doesn't it?

Dual-Layer Filtration:

External Filter Layer: The external layer of the CoreXchange filter is a groundbreaking component, designed to capture submicron particles with remarkable efficiency. Unlike traditional mechanical filter media, this nano fiber layer uses electroadsorptive technology, powered by the unique crystalline structure of the mineral fibers. As water flows through, the natural, strong positive charge of these nano fibers actively attracts and binds to negatively charged contaminants, including microplastics, pathogens, trace pharmaceuticals, and cellular debris. Its electro-positive wet-laid nonwoven technology, with pore sizes ranging from 1.2 to 1.5 microns, captures even the smallest impurities. When exposed to water, the crystal structure within the fibers creates a charge potential that extends deeper into the pore structure, enhancing contaminant capture across multiple layers. This innovative external layer acts as a powerful barrier, stopping impurities before they reach the activated carbon fiber block within, creating an unmatched dual-layer defense for cleaner, safer drinking water.

Internal Filter Layer: At the heart of CoreXchange Technology lies an advanced Solid Activated Carbon Fiber Block filter, an engineering marvel designed to deliver exceptionally clean and safe drinking water. This activated carbon fiber block offers unparalleled adsorption capabilities, targeting a vast array of contaminants including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, volatile organic compounds, and heavy metals. Thanks to its intricate, fibrous structure, the filter not only ensures superior free chlorine reduction but also provides a smooth and consistent water flow, making each sip as refreshing as it is safe. The activated carbon fibers create a tortuous path through thousands of microscopic layers, forcing water to navigate a complex maze that captures impurities along the way. This extended contact between water and carbon fibers enhances kinetic adsorption, maximizing the filter’s effectiveness against unwanted contaminants. The result is a highly efficient filtration system that combines power and precision, enabling clean, uninterrupted water flow for superior hydration.

*Please note that the filter is not suitable for use with saltwater sources.

FAQ's regarding our new XP filters:

Why are the new XP Filters rated at a 100-gallon capacity while our current Pure is rated at 150 gallons?
Our new XP Filters are NSF tested to double the capacity (200 gallons) for compliance. Furthermore, our new XP filters have a higher quality and volume of filtration media, meaning that despite the rated capacity, they are no less capable than our current Pure, still lasting the expected 3-4 months.

Can you explain each layer in the new XP filters?

Activated Carbon Fiber: (Pure XP only)
Method: Depth Filtration
Surface Area: Approximately 1,000,000 ft² (equivalent to 17 football fields)!
Mechanism: This massive surface area acts like a "giant sponge," using adsorption to trap high volumes of chemical contaminants as they pass through the media.

Nano Fiber Media: (Pure & Nano XP)
Method: Surface Filtration
Surface Area: 0.23 ft² (with the pleated media being over a foot long).
Mechanism: This media uses an electropositive charge. It instantly traps negatively-charged contaminants (like bacteria, cysts, and sediment) upon impact.
