Water: Water is not considered a macronutrient. Although it is essential for life and makes up a significant portion of our body weight, it is not a source of calories. Water is essential for many bodily functions, including regulating body temperature, transporting nutrients, and removing waste products. It is recommended that adults drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day.
